Welcoming in January

When I was a columnist for Montana Woman Magazine, I wrote each year about welcoming the New Year with intention. I’ve always loved the tradition of resolutions as a catalyst to commitment and finding your best self. Resolutions don’t have to be about becoming someone new; they can be about stepping more fully into who you already are. This year, I invite you to consider goals that challenge your body, strengthen your mindset, and quietly reenforce the way you want to show up in every area of your life.

Feeling Stuck? Start here. Ten Aerial Goals That Transform You Inside and Outside the Studio

1. Try a new apparatus - Exploring a new apparatus builds adaptability and courage. Practicing how to be a beginner again strengthens confidence when life asks you to pivot or stretch beyond your comfort zone.

2. Hold a bent-arm hang for 10 seconds -This goal builds patience and trust in the process. Consistency; even when progress feels slow; leads to real, lasting change.

3. Learn a new mount - Mounts require coordination and belief in your own ability. Each success reinforces problem-solving and self-trust you can carry into everyday challenges.

4. Perform in an Elevated Aerial student showcase - Performance is about presence, not perfection. Learning to be seen builds confidence, self-expression, and resilience. (Spring showcase dates coming soon.)

5. Stretch once per week - Stretching reinforces that care is part of growth. This habit supports recovery, balance, and a more self-nourishing relationship with your body.

6. Focus on mindset and recovery - Training the mind alongside the body builds resilience. Prioritizing recovery helps you manage stress and avoid burnout, in and out of the studio.

7. Make a new aerial friend - Shared movement builds encouragement and accountability. Growth thrives in supportive environments, not isolation.

8. Build core strength - A strong core improves balance and control, but it also represents inner stability; grounding you both physically and mentally.

9. Celebrate progress instead of chasing perfection - Honoring small wins reshapes how you define success. This shift supports healthier self-talk and sustained motivation.

10. Attend class once per week for three months - This may be the most transformative goal of all; consistency is a life skill. Committing to regular classes strengthens discipline and follow-through; even on days motivation is low. Over time, this commitment builds routines that support long-term wellbeing.

A December Recap, because we loved the opportunity to play and perform this December!

Lune's Aerial Hoop Class🎅

We love these photos of Lune's class from December 16th by Mariah G Photography! Thanks for letting us share!

Festival of Trees🎄

We had an incredible time at the Festival of Trees fundraiser! Thanks to everyone who came out, cheered us on, and helped raise funds for the Montana Bar Fairies!

Whitefish Holiday Stroll 🔥

The Elevated Aerial fire act at the Whitefish Christmas Stroll was a powerful display of artistry, fire dance, and festive spirit in Whitefish, Montana. This performance was a gift from the artists to the Whitefish and Flathead community, made possible entirely by the time, energy, skill, and personal resources each performer contributed. If you missed the show, you can still catch the replay here, or enjoy the photos from Jacq Guertin below. Thanks for letting us share!

Thank you Daylan Axelsen for the video, and Jacq Guertin for the photos!
